Joseph largest public high school will be closed for the next six weeks.

Central high school students will have to learn remotely until at least the end of the september.

>> in person classes here at central high school are called off for now.

District officials sent a letter home to parents, students and staff talking about the issues here.

They say that recent flooding and rain caused air quality and some other issues inside the building and they're going to need professional help cleaning it up over the next six weeks to get kids back to class.

While the air quality and construction issues are being fixed, students will learn remotely.

The 30 classes that are in the freshman building to other parts of the building, it's just not possible.

This will not affect the virtual academy.

The central students who would have started on august 31st, will learn remotely until the work is done.
