A team of rescuers pulled a man from the wreckage of a shop which was crushed by a fallen tree in the Indian state of Bihar on Friday (August 14th).

A team of rescuers pulled a man from the wreckage of a shop which was crushed by a fallen tree in the Indian state of Bihar on Friday (August 14th).

The large seminole tree suddenly toppled at around 5 am local time in the town of Bastantpur hitting a nearby shop where a 22-year-old man was sleeping.

The man, identified as Brahma Kumar Gupta, was trapped under the heavy branches of the tree and the mangled debris of the building.

A team from the National Disaster Response Force arrived at the scene and used cutting tools to free Gupta.

He was taken to a local health centre for treatment.
