St. Joseph School gets ready for first day of classes

It's back to campus for most kids in Shasta County

Ana stand up ((outside here to show protocols before going in)) trt:17 ana torrea atorreanews now before students can even go inside their classroom, they must first line up outside and there's yellow dots on the ground to mark that social distance and there's several of them behind me, students first get their temperatures checked by their teachers and they even have to sanitize their hands before heading inside the classroom.

Ana stand up ((inside the classroom to show you what it will look like)* trt:36 so when students walk in they'll notice things in the classroom look a little different, so let me show you what it looks like in here ((turns camera)) here in this classroom you can see that tables are spread six feet apart from each other.

Now normally these tables here can sit 2 students.

But to help with social distancing, each table will now only have 1 student and they will keep their backpacks and belongings and right next to them.

Each desk also has its own supplies and hand sanitizing station.

Now teachers i spoke to tell me, while this has been a challenge, their glad students are back in the classroom.
