Good evening jason.

The new hartford reopening advisory committee met the evening to discuss the details of their proposed hybrid learning model for the fall.

During the virtual meeting, superintendent robert nole provided an overview of key aspects in the reopening plan including guidelines for teaching and learning, school schedules, transportation, and health and safety.

Assistant superintendent allen hyde reviewed the district's proposal for it's hybrid model which has been modified since they announced their plans last week.

The current proposal is a "3-2" model, which divides students into two groups.

One group would be in school monday and wednesday... the other group would be there tuesday and thursday.... and they would alternate on fridays.

Assistant superintendent of schools for curriculum and instruction allen hyde: "we believe this model benefits our students with increased in-person time with teachers, in the face to face time that is being recommended with the state education department, the option for remote learning exclusively does still remain open for students and parents who are looking to participate in that."

He says special education students and students who are english language learners will be in school monday through thursday every week and learning remotely on friday.

The superintendent says this plan is ready to be submitted tomorrow.

The next reopening advisory committee meeting will be on august 6th at 5 o'clock.
