Ll corning city council voted yes on tuesday to funding outside seating- a lot of restaurant owners i spoke to say they are very pleased while others are not.

Jose figueroa owns rancho grande- he doesn't think there is enough space in the parking lot to make sure outdoor seating is safe.

Sot jose figueroa "you see the parking lot is too small and to me we go from one problem to another for me its too risky for our clients what if a car crosses over and hits someone?"

City clerk lisa lennet says the city is granting 10 thousand dollars from the general fund reserve to let restaurant lease tables, chairs, awnings, shaded and more at no cost.

Denny's already purchased 10 tables for their outdoors- mandy olson says they are excited to receive more.

Mandy olson- dennys manager "were please that the city is offering the shade and the tables, were just happy to have the outside dinning since we can't have the indoor," linnet says restaurants have to apply for a permit to use public right of way, parking lots, or private property.

Corning mayor douglas harley says right now they have not decided on a limit of how many items a restaurant can use.
