Leaders of Allen County's largest businesses urge public to follow COVID-19 health guidelines

Leaders of four of Allen County’s largest companies are urging the public to adhere to the recommendations of health care experts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Terry redmile at bfgoodrich says it's time to take politics out of personal protective equipment.

"it says to your friends, friends, colleagues, you care about them and you respect them enough to do what you can to protect them."

Gary duff of gm says, they can't do it alone.

"we gotta make sure we're being supported outside the facility as we support our workers inside the facility."

John sampson of the northeast regional partnership says wearing ppe is critical for fort wayne families to thrive during this pandemic.

John sampson:"these conditions regarding the best of us to support them so that we can do the work that's important to this region's economy."they all say if everyone took the covid-19 virus seriously, their workers would feel safer.

"face mask, hand washing, social distancing.

These things will allow us to help them."
