Mayor Andy Berke says Chattanooga will use code enforcers to enforce the mask mandate in the city.

The city of chattanooga will be using code enforcement officers as part of enforcement of the mask mandate in hamilton county.

Mayor andy berke made the announcement today.

He says they will cite businesses who they hear have not been following the mandate and says writing citations will be a last resort.

Both the codes enforcement and the police department are still going to be in the mode of educate and inform so that we get compliance.
