Dad shares memories about daughter killed in alleged DUII crash

Months after 6-year-old Madilynn Sokol died as a result of a Coos County crash while her mother was allegedly under the influence behind the wheel, her father is sharing memories about her life.

Six year old madilynn sokol was killed in a coos county car crash in february... while her mother was allegedly driving under the influence.

Her father is opening up about the heartbreaking experience -- and how he wants his daughter to be remembered.

Matt, renee-- ryan sokol says the world lost a little angel after that crash in february.

According to the coos county d-a's office, her mother got into a head-on collision... she, madilynn and her little brother jerry were all hospitalized... as well as the other driver... and though madilynn didn't make it... ryan says his little angel still saved some lives.

Ryan sokol says madilynn touched the lives of everyone she met.

"you never saw her without her smiling."

Months after her death... he misses her love of dance... and the countless fishing and hunting trips... "there was darn near nothing that that little girl didn't love doing.

She had such an amazing lookout on life and everything that came along with it."

But it's the little things that hit the hardest.

"the way she said daddy.

Just to hear one more daddy..."

A beautiful life just beginning-- shattered by a phone call from his ex-wife.

"she actually texted and said, "call back, 911.

We were in an accident."

He rushed to a nearby park-- where madilynn was taken away by a coast- guard helicopter to o-h-s-u.

"i just sat there while they got her stabilized enough to get her into the helo, and i just cried."

But he was greeted at the hospital with somber news.

"that's when they told me there wasn't going to be anything they could do to save her."

Pronounced brian dead... ryan decided his little girl could live on through organ donation.

"that little bitty heart... that beautiful heart... had to go somewhere..."

Her heart and liver saved two school aged boys... and her kidneys, two middle-aged women.

"my little angel on earth could do something to help others."

And though his ex-wife was allegedly drunk behind the wheel-- he says his christian faith encourages him to look on the bright side.

"i do believe in forgiveness."

Not letting that february crash... tear away the light of his life.

"she was an angel on earth before she was an angel up in heaven."

Nichole sokol is now under house arrest.

She's charged with d-u-i-i, manslaughter and other offenses.

She'll be back in court later this month.
