(Part 2 of 2) A South Carolina six year old is ready to take home the gold in the National Motorcross Championship.

And a boy kayaking with his family discovers a shiny object that turns out to be more precious than gold.

Righ two young black- footed cats at the san diego zoo safari park ventured out of their den to take food from one of their wildlife care specialists.

The kittens- male ryder and female skyler-were born on april 28th.

Weighing 3 ounces at birth, the kittens now weigh about a pound and half each.

They will grow to be 2 to 3 pounds and measure 14 to 20 inches in length when full-grown.

One of the world's smallest cats, the black-footed cat is found in botswana, namibia and south africa.

Their name comes from the black pads and thick, black hair on the soles of their feet, which help protect them from the hot sand.

A south carolina six-year-old is ready to crank up his dirt bike and bring home the gold in the national motocross championship.

He tells asia wilson how he's ready to make his community proud.

And he'll compete with more than 40 kids across the country.

This may look like a typical dirt speedway race track...ánatá but on top of the red mud...áquick nat popá is a superstar six year old motocross biker...ázoomá revving up for the national stage..

00:50:45:12 i like when you first get on the gas, it feels good.

The racetrack has been brentlee latimer's home since he was four years old.

ánat popá the first grader has won up to 50 first place wins cutting turns and riding the hills.

Brentlee: 00:53:33:15 i do ten laps and then keep going.

00:53:40:00 he's the one who started first.

Then he like told me about it and then i started riding.

ánat popá he's passion comes from his dad who used to ride in the past...but now chancey latimer is training his baby for the loretta lynn national championship.

21 for any kid in motocross...this is kind of looked like the super bowl of motocross.

So for him to be a six year old to make it, especially with this time that we're going through right now, it's really a big accomplishment.

The marshall primary 1st grader will sweep and turn around the big race track after recently winning the northeast regional championship in motocross.

00:51:20:08 i got first place out of 65 people.

00:51:27:09 like i feel good and as the only kid in south carolina in the 4 to 6 age group...ánat popá he'll go full throttle with more than 40 kids across the country.

01:04:03:25 i get emotional sometimes thinking about it, just because seeing how far he's came.

Bubut like i said, he's at his peak right now.

While the little regional winner continues to practice every turn and straight away...there's one thing he keeps in mind... dad: 1:03:11:06 if he were to win it, he'll kind of be etched out in history 00:51:50:23 like i say stay on the gas and like ride safe.

A little memory kept tucked fresh on his mind inside his helmet...ánatá as he races to the triple finish line for gold.

00:52:05:29 sometimes..."i thin about when i won like a different race.

Like when i won something else and then i actually win the race.

In travelers rest, aw, 7-news.

The amateur national motocross championship will be held at the loretta lynn ranch in tennessee.

It's set to start on august 3rd.

Our next story begins with a discovery.

It was a tiny piece of metal, that for one family, was more precious than gold.

Here's chip reid.

Earlier this month, 12 year old kolton conrad was kayaking with his family in ohio.

I saw this shiny thing in the water i picked it up and it was a dog tag.

It belonged to a us marine named rhonemus.

Chip: and when you found it, what was your first thought?

Kolton: "umm, t get back to the family.

His mother went on facebook and a chain of reponses led to kimberly greenlee whose brother steven rhonemus had served in the marines and died after an accident 46 years ago.

Kolton and kimberly met and he proudly handed over her brother's dog tag.

I came home and i held the tags close to my heart.

And then i cried.

But she and he sister brandy knew they couldn't keep them.

I knew in my heart that, dad, these tags were to go to his daughter danielle.

She was just five months old when her father died.

He wore this and it's holding a piece of him right now // i am so grateful for the sweet little boy who got this and made sure it that got back to me.

Members of the haven acres boys and girls club have used their artistic skills to create a mural with a message of unity in downtown tupelo.

The mural was inspired by drawings from the children at the haven acres boys and girls club.

Their drawings were outlined on two walls in a downtown tupelo alley and the kids spent a few days painting the giant mural.

Children involved in the artistic endeavor say they hope the messages of unity in the mural impact the community now and for years to come.

"people come ove here everyday, we over here now, right, when people walk past here, they say, wow, look at these kids painting, they doing pretty good" the tupelo junior auxiliary provisional class helped the children paint the mural.

They also provided snacks and water for the young artists.
