Kalki Koechlin: There's still a lot of toxic masculinity in commercial cinema

Bollywood actor Kalki Koechlin speaks exclusively to HT City Entertainment Editor, Monika Rawal, about spending time in lockdown with her 5-month-old daughter, Sappho and having a partner who shares the load with her.

Known for her films such as Dev D, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Margarita With a Straw, Kalki says she never wanted to be an insider and considers Bollywood as a business not a family, and asserts that one has to make their work valuable to be accepted by the system.

She also opens up about social media toxicity, the stereotypes that exist and that she was once told to get botox for her laughter lines and how her big teeth also get a lot of attention.
