Back in may, a signature health facility in newburgh, indiana had an outbreak that resulted in the death of 29 people.

And with the history of covid 19 outbreaks in nursing homes and long term care facilities in the tri-state, 44news reached out to a bluegrass doctor to better understand why the virus is especially dangerous in this environment.?these are elderly individuals with lots of, what we call, morbidities.

The second is that theye in very close contact with individuals?

Ohio county judge executive david johnston says that most of the people infected are asymptomatic.

But there are 2 residents that have been hospitalized.

And after hearing news of the covid 19 outbreak in their town, ohio county residents are concerned for those elderly residents at signature health.?of course it always a concern.

This is a scary time in our county and in our world.

It makes me more concerned that elderly can be affected, so i praying for those families and those residents, and i hope it all turns out okay for them?

It been reported earlier today that one of the infected residents at signature health has passed away due to covid-19, but the ohio county health department told 44news that a person in ohio county has died due to complications from covid-19, but they were not a resident of signature health.
