Belmont girl beats the odds - Meet Londyn

A family from Belmont, Mississippi, is pretty thankful for all St.

Many local families benefit from the amazing work and treatment st.

Jude offers.

And one family from belmont, mississippi is pretty thankful for all st jude has done for them and their little girl ."

"what's your fav food.

I'm a pizza girl.

What's your fav food?'

Brownies" "playing with my barbie swimming pool eight year old londyn loves all things sweet and girly.

But don't let the unicorn and sparkly bow fool you.

"next weekend we are going camping" "they have little bity frogs that just turned into frogs from tadpoles.

Guess we are going to catch them."

We pick them up with sticks."

Two years ago, camping was out of the question for londyn.

Two years ago, camping was out of the question for londyn.

In february 2018, she woke up with her eye protruding.

Doctors discovered an 11.8 centimeter mass behind londyn's eye.

"we went straight to st jude the next day and that's when they diagnosed it as stage 4 neuroblastoma... high risk cancer."

High risk because londyn was five...and neuroblastoma usually happens in babies.

Her survival rate was 40 percent.

She had chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, radiation, mainteance chemo and to this day the mass still isn't fully gone.

"the doctors at st jude have done so much.

Went from 11.8 ct or 4.5 inces to the size of a sweet pea.

It's so small and minute."

"they helped me get better a lot" and thanks to generous donations, londyn's family will never see a bill.

And you can make that happen by reserving a ticket to the st jude dream home.

"we go off and say its 100 dollars for a chance to win a house, but you've already won in our book because that's a 100 that your taking a chance and giving to these kids lives at st jude...just like our little girl" and this little girl doesn't have plans on growing up to fast, but when she does she wants to be a nurse...can you guess where?

"now that i know everything at st jude.

I wanna work at st.

Jude" there are so many families with stories just like londyn's.

And you can be a part of that story by getting your ticket to the st jude dream home.

Tickets are $100 and can be reserved by calling 1-800-456- 8351 or going to dream home dot org... there are less than two thousand tickets left,,, and they are going fast ... so be sure to call right now ... and help make a difference in someone's life... and here is a live look of the dream home.

Our videographer alvin ivy is at the home -- which is located in the dunbarton oaks subdivion.

The home will be about 32- hundred square feet with 4 bedrooms and 3 and a half baths.

Right now -- they are still working on the framing but all the rain we've had lately has really slowed down construction... i know the builder mark simpson is really hoping for some dry weather... but will he get it??

Chief meteorologist matt laubhan will have a full look at your forecast coming up next.
