Lee County giving away free masks

The county board wants to make sure more people get free masks

Over 400 cases of coronavirus... that's one reason why the lee county board of supervisors is giving away free masks.

Wayne hereford talked to one of the board members about how he is helping to get the masks out.

Standup.."right now the lee county board of supervisors is giving out free masks to anyone in the county that wants them.

All you have to do is contact the county office."

"our emergency management director lee bowdry is receiving the masks and dispersing them out to the different agencies that need them, the sheriff's department medical center .

I've delivered some myself to some of the fire departments."

District one lee county supervisor phil morgan says its important for everyone to have masks in the county right now .

That's why he and other supervisors have been handing them out.

He says the county board received about 15- thousand already .

" i put out at least five thousand or so myself .

But i distributed mine to the churches prior to their start up earlier this month."

Morgan says other board members have done the same .

He says that more masks are coming from the state and that people can simply call the county board of supervisors office to come and get them.

Standup.."morgan says that as long as the county has masks, theyh will continue to provice them free of charge to the public.
