Airbnb Announces New Selection of Virtual Experiences

Airbnb Announces New Selection of Virtual Experiences The company's virtual offerings were first launched in April when COVID-19 cases were steadily increasing in the United States.

At the time, the company explained that it would provide people a way to “connect, travel virtually, and earn income during the COVID-19 crisis.” Now, Airbnb has formed “first of its kind partnerships” with the Olympics, Paralympics, Broadway, Pride Week and more.

Airbnb, via statement Virtual travelers around the world will be able to interact and learn from Olympic “sports idols,” such as Breeja Larson, Pauls Pujāts and Derek Redmond.

Guests can also choose to take part in Broadway-themed experiences, which showcase the work of cast members, set designers and dancers.

In honor of Pride, Airbnb is offering a number of experiences led by LGBTQ hosts, with all proceeds donated to LGBTQ non-profits.
