Watkins says he agrees with last night's decision, because he doesn't see the point of moving foward without community support.

According to williams... he met with residents to get a better understanding of the issues.
Last weekend ... several protesters highlighted published comments written by davis.
Community groups called davis' comments... inappropriate and in some cases racist.
And they want him to step down.
Williams says... it's important for the company ... to listen to its subscribers... when they are dissatisfied.
