Malco movie theaters reopen

Malco reopens Tueplo teater with protective measures to ensure safety.

To the theatre today after weeks of no films because of the coronavirus.

Malco movie theaters reopened some locations, including the one here.

Wtva's chelsea brown is live with what guidelines moviegoers now have to follow.

As you walk into the theater there is hand sanitizer stations and you will notice all employees wearing masks.

It was a slow start to the day this morning when they opened but i caught up with one family as they were coming out of their movie.

Sera hall- tupelo "it's spotless clean" sera hall is from tupelo.

She went with her two kids and mother to see the trolls movie.

She was surprised to see how clean the theater was and all the differences to ensure social distancing.

"the malco did a good job of making sure everything was clean, everyone was comfortable, everyone wore masks."

Hall said her and her family were the only ones in the theater for their movie and when they walked in to the movie was an employee cleaning each seat.

She was happy to get out of the house and enjoy some time with her kids.

"chuck e cheese has been closed, the mall has been closed a lot of stuff has been closed that my kids enjoy going.

So i think for them just to get to go somewhere other than our backyard has been really fun for them."

Not all malco theaters locations have reopened.

More locations will reopen each week through july 16.
