Live those i spoke with believe to build a safe and honest community... we need an open discussion from our leaders ?
*- here at the government center.
That's why city and county leaders like mayor kim norton... chief jim franklin and olmsted county attorney mark ostrem answered some tough questions from residents who didn't hold back.
Here's a look at..... the town hall.
I talked to heidi wilkins.
She helped organize it.
She believes as far as the information they got ?
"* many viewers didn't get the answers they wanted to get.
She ?
"* along with other viewers felt leaders were answering the questions "evasively."
She says many residents were frustrated with the "when the mayor said that she is not going to defund the police and there is no discussion around that, yet she wants to put money into civic programs. those things go together, so that was a fairly disappointing answer because they have to go together unless we have this giant surplus of money."
Heidi tells me organizers are getting together on monday to organize another town hall.
