Sooner and improving the economy.
We are coming off a a beautiful weather weekend after spikes in the numbers of coronavirus cases through the state.
So how has that affected local businesses?
Joining us now is chad emerson - the executive director of downtown huntsville inc.
Chad good morning.
- lots of people out this weekend.
Are there any concerns from businesses or even customers about the increase in cases?
- we are entering the third week of the amended "safer at home" order, what buying / consumer trends are you seeing?
Are more people coming back to visit local retailers and restaurants?
Skepticism?
Precautions taken?
Quarantine fatigue or just a general lack of more uniformity in wearing masks and social distancing?
Are we getting more lax out there?
- you look at states like utah and oregon putting off reopening amid spikes in cases.
Are there any signs we opened too soon or is that out of the question?
- what's next for your group as we still try to maneuver through these uncertain times?
- of course the protests from the last couple of weeks were conducted downtown.
Any fallout from that at all?
Chad emerson - the executive director of downtown huntsville inc.
Chad good morning.
Thanks for joining us pause
