North Mississippi Boys and Girls Clubs to reopen
Multiple North Mississippi Boys and Girls clubs will reopen June 8

Will be welcomed back to the boys and girls clubs here in tupelo on june 8th.

The staff tells me they are prepared to reopen safely with some changes... one big change in operations means parents will no longer be allowed to enter the boys and girls clubs in north mississippi... "with the covid-19 pandemic we're going to only allow board members, club members, staff members, and volunteers into the building."

Operations director tonny oliver says drop off and pick up will now be curb side only.

The staff members will check each child's temperature during sign in... oliver says everyone including staff will have their temperature checked three times a day... they are also limiting the number of children that can come to the club... "we have 50 slots available on a first come first serve basis compared to the normal 130."

Oliver says the building will be sanitized throughout the day.

He says protective gear is required "every individual that comes through the door will be required to wear a mask."

Oliver also told me if a child has a temperature over 100.7 their parents will be called to pick them up.

If a staff member has a high temperature, they will be asked to leave the building.
