Medical team manhandled during COVID-19 survey in Haridwar

A medical team was misbehaved and manhandled while carrying out survey for COVID19 at Makhanpur village of Haridwar in Uttarakhand.

"We had gone for COVID19 survey.

We had collected the data of all families.

When we went to the last house, they told us to strike off all names.

One woman took our register and started doing that.

She also tore pages off the register.

We received some injuries," said Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) worker, Anita.

Haridwar's Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Senthil Avoodai K Raj S said, "We are taking action under Epidemic Diseases (Amendment) Ordinance 2020, one accused has been arrested so far."
