Medford-native Dante Olson has "always dreamed of playing in the NFL" and now he's one step closer after signing with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Dante olson's journey started at cascade christian, where his head coach jon gettman knew he would be playing division one football.

Olson fulfilled that prophecy, playing for the university of montana.

There, he led the entire f-c-s in tackles... two years in a row.

And saturday night, olson reached another milestone.

Um, you know, and obviously it was a long day on saturday, just, you know, waiting for my name would get called.

And, you know, i guess that wasn't necessarily in the cards, but, um, you know, it was pretty, pretty draining day emotionally.

But, you know, when i got the call, you know, right after the drafted, uh, it definitely, uh, made me feel pretty good and, and excited and fired up."

Josh shelton says, "what was your reaction compared to what your family's reaction?"

Um, you know, my mom and dad started crying right away and you know, it, it didn't really become surreal to me till a little bit afterwards.
