Aundrea, columbus police chief fred shelton tells us they do have a person of interest they are speaking with.

Lowndes county coroner greg merchant has identified as 20 year old xavier johnson.

This deadly shooting happened just after one this afternoon.

Take a look at just how emotional the scene was.

The young man you see here screams that the man shot and killed is his little brother.

Dozens of people filled the street and were crying and in shock.

Police say it the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim and another individual.

When police got to the scene several shell casings were found and johnson was seen laying in the street.

Medics were sadly unable to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

We spoke with johnson's grandfather who says his grandson was just 20 years old, not a violent person, and is devastated// shot sot "i'm sad.

I'm torn apart because he was a good child.

He grew up being respectful and he always kept that.

He loved his friends.

He was a friend to you.

He was always cheerful.

And he loved to work.

He always talked about his job and buying him a car."
