Sweetgreen is assisting healthcare workers — here's what you can do to chip in

American fast casual restaurant Sweetgreen recently announced that it launched the Sweetgreen Impact Outpost Fund.in collaboration with celebrity chef José Andrés' nonprofit World Central Kitchen.to support emergency workers and other medical personnel.The fund is part of a larger initiative — Impact Outpost — that has served approximately 10,000 meals...to the doctors, nurses and other workers who have been at the frontline.Its purpose appears to be in line with that of World Central Kitchen, which provides meals in light of natural disasters."Together, not only will we reach more hospitals, but we’ll also work with new COVID-19 relief sites.including schools, senior centers, and vulnerable communities," Sweetgreen notes on its website.Founded in 2007 by former Georgetown students Jonathan Neman, Nicolas Jammet and Nathaniel Ru.Sweetgreen serves what it calls "simple, healthy food," from salad bowls to fish tacos.It currently has more than 90 locations in eight states, including New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey
