Restaurants are struggling but finding a way to survive during the covid-19 pandemic.

While it's not always easy, workers know they are finding a way to help others.

Our deandria turner talks to two area managers and explains.

Nat keith evans spends most of his days managing the front lines of smoothie king.

"it keeps me leveled coming here.

I feel like if i wasn't coming here then i would have a lot of chances to overthink," he's adjusting to the uncertainty of living in pandemic, even if uncertainty is the only certain thing in this crisis.

"we're just at the point to where everything is abnormal it's starting to feel normal.

Even when we're going through all of those gloves i'm to the point now to where we're several weeks in that kind of being the new norm" that new norm is wearing masks, switching gloves after every customer, and handling the flow of customers strictly coming through the drive thru.

Evans says a lot of the times working in this industry they have to adapt to the trends "while this is atypical with a lot of things were have to adjust to it kinda part for the course for the things we have to do on a regular basis" usually ebone hubbard worked most days at frutta bowls, that was up until yesterday.

That's when the company got a covid-19 small business support loan.

She calls it a much needed break, but now hubbard is also searching for a routine.

"it's bittersweet now that we have to shut things down.

I'm just going to have to find some kind of schedule to do," these food industry workers know having a little grub or a drink ready for customers can help provide some normalcy for customers, even if their world isn't so smooth.

"being able to get out of the house and coming to get a smoothie is kind of what brings people together and help people stay happy, healthy, and as normal as they can so it's good to be in this situation," finding the positivity in an uncertain time.éé evans also says he's grateful to have a job during
