Filipino cafe sets up microphone for customers to keep safe distance amid COVID-19 pandemic

A milk tea cafe in the Philippines has set up a microphone for customers to keep a safe distance to order from their shop.

Juan Paolo Caniamo said he helped his friend to get some drinks in Paranaque City in Metro Manila on Monday (April 13).

He said: "It was an awkward moment because it was like auditioning for a singing competition." The microphone was set up with a stand with loudspeaker so that the staff inside the shop can hear them.

The milk tea shop had set it up that way to prevent their staff from having direct contact to people in accordance with COVID-19 coronavirus guidelines to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
