I'm standing at the entrance to the temporary homeless shelterãwhich is gate 4 on mulberry and roundup street.

That's just behind the cal fire office.

The main entrance to the fair grounds is closed.

Today is the first day the emergency shelter is open.

They're using*3 buildings here at the fairgrounds.

One for the vulnerable population.... one for people with pets... and anyone who is homelessness.

They put tape on the ground to mark that 6-feet distance between chairs and cots.

Definitely prepared to serve as many, even if its over a 100 or 150, we're waiting here and ready to serve about 2 weeks ago: "path" had to shut down one of its shelters because it did not meet c-d-c guidelines.

Path says: at the time: there were about 41 people staying in a room just inches apart from each other.
