Barneveld Company making Face shields to help protect against coronavirus

Getem Innovations, a small manufacturing company in Barneveld, is making face shields for anyone who wants one.

Family run manufacturing business is helping those on the frontlines of the coronavirus crisis.

Gabe broomfield graduated at the top of his class from poland high school a few short years ago...and went directly into manufacturing.... just like his dad did... (lee broomfield, barneveld) .

Now decades later lee's son and daughter have formed their own manufacturing business called getum innovations...basi cally whatever you can think of you can getum here... Gabe's the engineer and emily's sales and marketing...and dad...he says ...he's just a proud dad... tc : 33:00 "well it is absolutely the best, because they've got young minds, they understand the new technology they understand where i came from a different technology and how through the years your struggle to build a business and they've seen the struggles i've seen the good times and they're smart yeah that are smarter than i am."

8 days ago...the idea came to this group of three to build these masks..or sheilds to help local health care workers on the front lines fighting this coronavirus crisis... tc : 44:13 "this was about 4 o'clock saturday evening and by seven we had a design, i put it on facebook sunday morning and i had calls as far as a way of new york matter of fact we got a contract from some folks in new york involving the police department down there and they're coming up driving up tomorrow to pick them up so we are rushing like crazy."
