Many grocery shelves empty...causing some of us to stop by multiple stores to get every item on our list... including wic participants.

Mothers or expectant mothers are struggling to fill their government provided benefits due to food shortages...if a store doesn't have what they need, mothers have had to make some tough decisions.

They can either shop around or just go without... (sot )"so certain food items are all in one check and some clients have been stating that it's hard purchasing all those food items at once."

"we're advising participants to keep checking back in on the store shelves when they're using those other food benefits to be sure they get as much as they can on those checks because otherwise if they use the check without those items, they lose them."wic coordinators say the quantity of benefits the government issues has not increased during the pandemic.

Wic has closed their office to the public, but are continuing to offer their assistance over the phone.
