Instead of the beach some college students are visiting the wabash valley.

We caught up with students from creighton university earlier today.

They were working at the white violet center at saint mary of the woods' .

It's part of a special program at creighton.

Students spend their fall breaks learning more about sustainability and other environmental issues.

One student we spoke with says she's exact to spend her spring break at a unique destinations.

"i have my entire life to go to the beach for vacation when i'm older when i'm not in school.

But now that i have the opportunity to go to new places around the u-s that i typically wouldn't it's really nice too."
