It's a great community program you've got going.michael: sure, so sportsnet is a collaborative program of the al sigl community of agencies, cp rochester and rochester rehabilitation, and the whole idea is to help people of all ability levels in the community come out and be active and get involved in sports and recreation programs. mark: give us an example of what we're talking about here.

Example of what we're mark: give us an recreation programs. and be active and get levels in the people of all ability whole idea is to help rehabilitation, and the rochester rehabilitation, and the whole idea is to help people of all ability levels in the community come out and be active and get involved in sports and recreation programs. mark: give us an example of what we're talking about here.

Michael: sure, we offer programming both indoors and outdoors, and our real focus is on getting out in the community, so for example our bowling program is out at fairview lanes in fairport, our swim programs are out at pools in the community.

We try to get out there as much as possible and supply the support services and the structure to create these different activities and ways for people to get active.mark: the knighthawks are getting on board as well, nate tell us about it.nate: we saw this as a great opportunity to support the growth of the game and another great community program here.

It really started with one of our reps - charlie ragusa meeting michael.

We went and had a meeting with michael a couple of months ago and we knew that we wanted to be on board.

Luckily he was able to get that grant there and as soon as we were able to we wanted to jump on this to support that.mark: great event going on tomorrow at cp rochester, begins at 10 o'clock in the morning, a couple of the knighthawks are going to be there helping folks learn how to play lacrosse, right?

Tell us about it.nate: yeah, we've got two of our outstanding players, joe walters - a local guy - and brad gillies who is in his second year with us and really making the commitment to go out and help grow this game.mark: mike, i want to turn back to you and ask you about these type of collaborations, ask you about these turn back to you and ask you about these type of collaborations, for sportsnet how important is that to help grow what you're able to offer people?michael: it's been huge in the last year, we have a long history at sportsnet, over 15 years, working with outdoor pursuits as far as the cycling, canoeing and really getting people recreating, but we really took a focus in the last year of combining with the sports teams and local sports avenues to get people playing sports and team sports.

Mark: great opportunity, great program, good luck with it tomorrow at cp rochester and continued success, especially with this collaboration.

Thank you both for coming in.michael/nate: thank you.mark: more information online at sportsnetny.org and knighthawks.com - you'll find those links on our website as well
