Greta Thunberg Wins 'Alternative Nobel Prize' The 16-year-old Swedish national in one of four recipients of the 2019 Right Livelihood Award.

Right Livelihood Foundation, Statement, via Reuters In a statement, the foundation said Thunberg won the award for "inspiring and amplifying political demands for urgent climate action reflecting scientific facts." Thunberg blasted world leaders with her remarks on climate change at the UN on Monday.

President Trump, Twitter Along with the other prize recipients, Thunberg will receive a cash award equal to more than $100,000 U.S. dollars.
