Ring Barred Cops From Using 'Surveillance' As Description Of Products

Amazon’s home security company Ring quietly removed the term “surveillance” from its products.

This is according to a statement law enforcement officials provided to local news outlets.

Gizmodo reports Ring and the Ewing Police Department in New Jersey had several exchanges.

Ring removed the terms, a company representative says, so as not to “confuse” residents.

Ring’s contracts with police give the company final say over any statements police issue about its products.
