Defense Lawyer For Harvey Weinstein Asks To Leave New York Case

One of the lawyers representing Harvey Weinstein in his rape trial due to begin in September has asked a judge to let him drop the former movie producer as a client.

The attorney, Jose Baez, reportedly asked a Manhattan justice to let him off the case six months after Weinstein hired him because of their strained relationship.

Prosecutors in New York accuse Weinstein of forcibly performing oral sex on a woman in 2006 and raping another woman in 2013.
