Annette Bening Did Death Scene In 'Captain Marvel' With Little Sleep

The film’s recently-released commentary track has co-director Ryan Fleck talk about a specific scene.

Fleck refers to the scene where Helen Lawson/Mar-Vell is shot and killed by Yon-Rogg.

According to Comicbook.com, this was Annette Bening’s, who plays Mar-Vell, first scene shot in the film.

Fleck said she flew across the country with little sleep and did the dying scene for the film.

He said: “She was such a trooper.

I think it’s a very difficult scene for actors to play and she nails it."
