US Embassy In Honduras Set Ablaze During Protests

Business Insider reports demonstrators set fire to the US Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on Friday, amid nationwide protests from teachers and doctors.

On Thursday, US Ambassador to Honduras Chargé Heide Fulton issued a statement urging Hondurans against using violence.

A security alert on the embassy's website told family members of US government employees in the country to stay home on Friday.

People said on Twitter Friday that the main entrance to the US Embassy had been set on fire.
