Walmart Changes Minimum Age To Purchase Tobacco And E-Cigarettes

Walmart is changing the minimum age to purchase tobacco and e-cigarettes to 21 years old.

The change will take effect starting July 1 in all Walmart and Sam’s Club stores.

According to Business Insider, the company will also discontinue any fruit or dessert flavored e-cigarettes.

The move comes after Walmart received a letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

After being told about tobacco sales to minors, Walmart made the announcement in a letter back to the FDA.
