Trump Administration Files New Arguments in Court to Strike Down Obamacare

The Trump administration has filed new arguments in court, seeking to strike down the Affordable Care Act.????The law enacted by the Obama White House which provides insurance options to millions of Americans…????...and also protects those with pre-existing conditions, is facing another legal challenge.????CNN reports that in the Justice Department’s filing, the point of contention is the “individual mandate”...????...which fines those who do not have health insurance coverage…????...with the Trump administration calling it unconstitutional…????...and therefore the entire law “should not be allowed to remain in effect”.????According to CNN, the filing by Assistant Attorney General Joseph Hunt…????...wrote that the Trump administration previously argued that parts of Obamacare chould remain in effect…????...but said that it could no longer take the stance of “picking and choosing which provisions to invalidate”...????...arguing that was a matter for Congress so the decision must be made to strike down the entire law.????CNN reports that the conservative-leaning 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments on the matter in July.
