After Trump Border Threat, Mexico Says Doesn't Act On Threats

According to Reuters, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Friday that Mexico does not act on the basis of threats after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to close the U.S.-Mexico border if Mexico does not stop illegal immigration.

On Twitter, Ebrard said โ€œMexico does not act on the basis of threats.

We are a great neighbor." On Friday, Trump told reporters, โ€œThereโ€™s a very good likelihood that Iโ€™ll be closing the border next week, and that will be just fine with me."
