Manafort Pleads For Mercy After Being Sentenced To 73 Months In Prison

According to a report by Newser, on Wednesday, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was sentenced to 73 months in prison.

Manafort reportedly read from a prepared statement, pleading with US District Judge Amy Berman Jackson to limit his prison sentence to the original 47-month sentence he was given last week in a separate case related to tax and bank fraud.

Axios reports that Jackson had the ability to make Manafort's sentence concurrent, which she allowed for 30 months of his sentence.
