Brazil's Homicide Rate Dropped In 2018, But Experts Warn It May Not Last

According to a report by Business Insider, last year, Brazil reduced its homicide rate by 13 percent last year, ending a years-long streak of record-breaking violence.

The annual Monitor of Violence report claimed that 2018's recorded rate of 24.6 homicides per 100,000 people was the lowest since records began in 2011, with 51,000 overall homicides.
