Will Tesla Ditch Musk?

Elon Musk has a major following among Tesla customers but has lately been walking on thin ice when it comes to being a stable CEO of a company with public investors.

CNN reports Musk is at odds once again with the Securities and Exchange Commission, which may lead to him being fired from his position at Tesla.

On Monday the SEC requested that a federal court find Musk in contempt for violating a settlement agreement reached in October.

The violation refers to a tweet Musk sent last week that stated Tesla would build 500,000 cars this year.

However, Tesla said it would only produce roughly 400,000 cars during the year.

Musk had not received approval to send his tweet.

According to the SEC, that violates the agreement.
