Minnesota Crews Plow Interstate as Snow Leaves Dozens Stranded

Heavy snow was expected to create hazardous conditions in many areas of central and southern Minnesota on Tuesday, February 26, with the National Weather Service warning that two to four inches could fall along Interstate 94.The warning followed a weekend of snow that on Monday forced crews to work hours to clear and reopen Interstate 35, as this footage from near Owatonna shows.

Many other roads in southeast Minnesota were closed Monday, and dozens of people were left stranded in vehicles. The Minnesota’s Department of Transportation said I-35 reopened at 1:30am on Tuesday.
