Federal workers Line Up For Free Meals In Washington

According to Business Insider, chef José Andrés opened a pop-up restaurant in Washington, DC to provide free meals to federal workers affected by the record-long government shutdown.

Since the shutdown began, the restaurant has distributed nearly 38,000 free meals with members of Congress volunteering to distribute food at the restaurant.

Chef Andres plans to keep the restaurant open until the shutdown ends.
