The December 2 concert was held for the first time in Africa, at the SNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Hosted by Trevor Noah, headlining performances included Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, and Usher.
