NYT: Jared Kushner Has Paid 'Almost No Federal Income Taxes' for Years

As the one always seemingly just to the edge of the screen, Jared Kushner has been praised as a “secret genius” by Nikki Haley… but now a New York Times report finds the man of few words may be keeping a different secret.????According to the Times, Kushner has paid almost nothing in federal income taxes for several years.

That despite having a reported net worth of almost $324 million.????Based on confidential financial documents, the senior White House adviser to his father-in-law, President Trump, appears to be using a legal tax break known as depreciation.????According to the Times, while Kushner earned $1.7 million in salary in 2015 he reported $8.3 million in losses due to “significant depreciation” to his real estate holdings, thus avoiding federal taxes.????That’s not to say Kushner has done anything wrong, and a spokesman tells the Times just that.????This, following that bombshell report from the Times , revealing President Trump inherited $413 million from his father’s real estate empire, all while largely dodging taxes.

The New York state tax department is now investigating.
