Hurricane Michael Heads For Florida Panhandle

According to Reuters, Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall in northwestern Florida on Oct.


Located about 310 miles from Florida, Hurricane Michael is moving north across the eastern Gulf of Mexico.

The category 2 hurricane currently has maximum sustained winds of 110 miles-per-hour, but forecasters expect the storm to grow before reaching land.

The US National Hurricane Center predicts that Hurricane Michael will grow to a category 3 storm, which would make it a major storm.
