London mayor calls for second Brexit referendum

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Mayor of London Sadiq Khan on Sunday (September 16) said the British public should have a say on the otucome of Brexit negotiations, including the option of "staying in the EU" after a second referendum.

Khan told the BBC's Andrew Marr Show that Britain was now facing either a bad deal or a no-deal Brexit, both of which would be "hugely damaging to London and our country." Britain is due to leave the European Union on March 29.

But with Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit plans still not accepted, some lawmakers, as well as union and business leaders are increasingly arguing for people to have a final say on any deal struck with Brussels.
