Hurricane Florence Makes Landfall, Set to Inundate Carolinas

According to Reuters, Hurricane Florence crashed into the Carolinas on Friday as a giant, slow-moving storm that stranded residents with floodwaters.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the center of the hurricaneโ€™s eye came ashore early morning near Wrightsville Beach with sustained winds of 90 miles per hour.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said Florence was set to cover almost all of the state in several feet of water.
