The US Air Force Is Short More Than One-Quarter Of Fighter Pilots Needed

Wochit - April 17, 2018

For some time now, the US Air Force has been warning about its growing pilot shortage.

But a government report has found that the Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy all have significant shortfalls.

The report warns that service branches' stop-gap approaches have created additional problems for pilots.

The stop-gaps are hurting quality of life and affecting retention.

The Air Force projects its shortfall to last through fiscal year 2023..
