Republicans abandoned tax reform promotion in the recent special election which appears to have been won by Democrat Conor Lamb in a GOP-heavy district.

The ineffectiveness could be big trouble for the GOP in the 2018 Midterms. Political ads on the GOP's tax law dropped from 70% in early February to less than 1% in the Pennsylvania 18 District by early March.

National support for the Republican's tax bill is still evenly divided at best.
